PAAW's mission is to empower animal welfare organizations to ensure all animals have a safe and loving environment.
Do you have an organization you'd
like to see us feature?
Each month we will feature and fund one animal welfare organization or program that pulls at our heartstrings and is making real positive changes in the lives of animals or humans with animals. If you have an organization that comes to mind, please contact us!
Hi and welcome! My name is Kelsey Duffield and I am the creator of PAAW. Growing up we always had animals in our household, but they weren’t just animals, they were part of the family, another member of our family. I started PAAW in hopes to find unique programs and shelters that are doing incredible at saving the most animals. I am currently still going to school for a bachelors in Human Development and Family Studies, I will be transferring to UNR in the fall. I have two amazing dogs, Posey, my first born, she is a six year old miniature schnauzer and I also have Sugar who I adopted at the Nevada Humane Society on my birthday 3 years ago. I grew up in Lake Tahoe, NV. I grew up with dogs but also had horses, fish, birds and even a tarantula! I love all animals but dogs and horses are my weakness I just love them. In my free time I love to explore new restaurants in the Reno/Tahoe area, spending time with my family, and being outdoors. I have been playing softball since I was a little girl and even played for University of Wyoming for a little while, softball is my favorite sport.
